Sapphire Technologies – IT Recruitment: Second Life registrations from Australia and New Zealand increased 30% from May to June, now accounting for 3% of the overall population so it’s no surprise to see more companies from this region joining.
Following the lead set by TMP, the latest is Sapphire Technologies, becoming the first specialist IT recruitment company in Australia and New Zealand to establish a presence in the virtual world of Second Life. Visitors to Sapphire Technologies’ Second Life HQ can access podcasts on IT employment topics, and arrange to meet with virtual recruitment consultants. Residents can also play pool in the penthouse of Sapphire Technologies main building, add a free virtual ITEE (t-shirt) to their avatar’s inventory, or create and take away a virtual object from the adjacent sandbox.
Commenting on the launch, Malcolm Dunford, Chief Operating Officer of Sapphire Technologies said:
